I formerly used Truoil on my scales for a rich lustrous finish--lately I've purchased tru-oil and it's been congealed, so I'm looking for recommendations of a finish to use on wooden and hybrid (wood and resin scales) that will give me a rich lustrous finish--HELP

I use TruOil a fair bit but I haven’t had to buy any in years.
On the wood/resin handles have they been stabilized in some manor? Once it’s been stabilized it won’t absorb any oil.
After hand sanding, have you tried buffing them and working your way through several compound progressions?

if it was congealed the seal was broken and air got in it, return for a refund. where did you buy it ?

My experience has been different. Stabilized wood (all my stabilized wood was done by K&G) can absorb oil or water just at a way less rate than non-stabilized.

I like to use danish oil on walnut, not sure how it works on resin though. tru-oil is good too you just got a bad bottle like John said.

Thanks folks, I bought this bottle from Amazon, I suppose I was just looking for an alternative finish at this time— just something to fret about
