Reading through the latest threads about scale material, I'm wondering what mods have been done by the RAT pack? I've stimpled a couple P220 grips with good success. Is it possible to do the same with linen micarta?

hi, i dont see why you couldnt stipple the grips, i did mine with a barrel sanding tool for the inside of rings. you could do ball cuts on the micarta to.

That does look pretty awesome. I like it.
Next time you do something cool like that take some pics of the process and share!

some dust not a huge amount, i wore a hospitial face mask while sanding it. you really dont want to be breathing it. it took about 10 mintues to do. i could have done a neater job if i had marked and measured everything out but i just eyeballed it and freehanded it.

sounds like he used something similar to a dremel (maybe a foredom flex shaft?) with a sanding drum.

the bowdrill divot looks good!

ok i used a flextool with a jewelers handpiece and a small sanding drum to do the sanding on my scales. a dremel would work its just not as flexible speed wise.

here are a few pics of my tools and my workbench. yeah its a mess. i really need to clean up my bench.

more tools

hope that helps

Hey cricket,

I like the mod, I was wondering what the sheath in the first pic was? Is that the aftermarket sheath on the ESEE site?

Thanks, I checked out the aftermarket but they are for ESEE 5 and 6. one more question, where did you get the pouch for the front?
