Hi Steve,
I have an OLD Voss cutlery slipjoint with bone handles. I really was a user. The blades are ground pretty far and it's had better days, but it's absolutely gorgeous (to me). The only thing I worry about is the scale on one side is pretty loose. Any chance you can do slippie scale replacement/repair?

Thanks friend and take care,
Brett

BTW: the lignum vitae liner is in my pocket right now. it's such a sweet knife. I had some one offer to buy it from me at a knife shop I was at. I told him 'hell no!' If he wanted one, i told him to check out your forum.

Yeah? Wow. Its amazing to me because I almost left that hiding where the others are. Interesting that your knife has the same wood on it that the Kiwi I just posted about has on it. I think the Kiwi has the end cut left overs from the same stock of wood on it now.

Anyway, contact my good friend Dirk (Oupa) over at his forum http://forum.ramanon.com/forumdisplay.php?f=149
about that slippy scale. I usually refer out the slippy stuff anymore and try to focus mostly on the more modern locking type, one hand opening single blade folders these days, which keep me fairly swamped. I do an occasional slip joint pin replacement now and then but right now I'm trying to get out of that line and stick with what I like. Dirk enjoys the slip joints and has done far more of them than I have so I'm sure he'll do a better job there for you.

Thanks though.
