Yep I dropped the brass bowie I showed eariler and one of hte scales popped right off. Anyway there seems to be no damage to the scale or the knife it looks like the glue just failed. Any suggestions on what to glue it back with? epoxy, super glue? duct tape :=)

I used Shoe-Goo to put stag handles on my Manila Folder and Valor.
It gives enough not to pop and fail, but holds on really well.
Much better than Epoxy or Super Glue.

3M makes a couple of industrial 2part epoxies that are good. If your looking for a brand name you might try liquid nail. That's tough stuff also. Devcon up in MA makes a type that I think is called "perma-weld" of something like that. Need to get to the office Monday and check my notes.

Super glue, even on the indusrtial side, is "iffy" on impact resistance.

If you are interested in options email me.

I used JB Weld to attach scales to a thrower. Several hundred tosses later, & it's holding great.
