Steve ,could you give me a quote on replacing the wood scales and backspacer on a 440 Benchmade. I have .090 thick carbon fiber. The backspacer is .130 thick and pinned to the handles. I was thinking of using G10 for the backspacer. thanks Larry

I'd love to have one of those... but I don't know if putting a clip on it's possible and I can't live without me pocket clip. Nice knife, should look pretty nifty in CF.

That doesn't sound too bad Larry. I have G10 here in that thickness and probably some Micarta and titanium also.

Its just a matter of taking off old parts and copying the new ones. I'm not sure of how well I can match up to the sanding job they do at the factory and I am not familar with the working properties of CF since I've never once worked with it other than when it came here already on production folders.

I'd prefer to bead blast it but if its high polish you want I may or may not be able to help there. I'll try anything once but it may or may not work out. I'll just have to cut off a test piece and see how that goes I guess.

You are most likely looking at $65 plus shipping. If it looks like it will be more I can let you know but I doubt it. If it goes real quick I'll tell you that also.

Thanks for asking and mail it out at your convenience. We can talk privately about getting my address and all.
