I got a Benchmade griptilian from a family member for christmas and is an awesome present. But there is one thing that has been bugging me and its the Orange scales that came with it. I'm an outdoors person so this is great for when i'm in the woods in case I drop it, then it would be easier to find. But in an urban setting you want the exact opposite, something that no one notices. I have looked at scales for them but don't know what to think of them. Any of you have aftermarket scales and what's your take on them?

I have two sets of custom scales done by two different members here in the knifemakers services offered section of the exchange. I love both of them so can't really recommend one more than the other and both are way better than the factory ones

I've used Keyman's scales before and they are top-notch. They were a perfect fit on my old BM 525.

I have AWT scales on my Mini Grip (they make them for the full size Grip as well) and they are the shiznit. Very well made and they truly make the knife a whole different animal. The extra heft (but not a lot) of the aluminum over the cheap plastic scales was a welcome addition. They are available in many different colors also. The owner is a veteran, which is important to me, and backs up his products with a lifetime warranty.

Check them out, you won't regret it.
