Saw your other thread and good luck with the new Jurassic, I have the XM18 3 and 3.5, and was thinking about getting one myself.
Google did return some results but most came with the knife(not as a standalone), the usual suspect DLT, USAmade or Monkeyedge may have some. I've seen few offering on ebay, etsy and g10.lt both have some really interesting offering for XM series, maybe you could approach them for some unique scales too.
Personally, I haven't since I am still sticking with the stock scales. You are right about MC loving all things hinderer, but I gonna watch Dicey's video to see what he thinks about the Jurassic too.
If someday XM18 3.5 takes away the jimpings, especially under the flipper. That could very well be my most favorite Hinderer, and I would rush out and buy it again.
ill wait a little I guess then post if others on the forum has heard of this site and there feedback.
This will be a Hugh jump up in price for me I feel like I made a good purchase I’ll know soon enough I guess lol. Always carried something but you know $15 $20 from Dicks sporting goods etc. after my last one broke started watching videos and bought the Spyderco para3 but was concerned About the tip so got a rat1 then a few Civivi followed by a Spyderco Manix2 was looking at the ZT 0562 but with all the negative about ZT lock fail just decided to make the jump. This can be very addictive lol
No doubt it's a addictive fun hobby and a deep rabbit hole, there are those who will chase the latest design or super steel, while others may prefer vintage models and perfectly happy with 420HC. There's no right or wrong in how you approach this hobby, so as long it's fun and financially manageable.
That's a smart way to approach a collecting hobby. I collected watches for over 10 years, and I bought, sold, or traded over 300 watches during that time. If I had known at the beginning what I know now, I would have just saved my money and bought a few really nice watches. I certainly would have saved myself a lot of money.100% agree I wont be in the Hinderer waters to often maybe once a year. Still navigating how I will enjoy this hobby figuring out what I like. Think most of my purchases will be in the$150 or less range.

I recently got into collecting knives, and I'm going about it differently this time. I did a ton of research, and I figured out that Hinderer suits my taste the most. I bought a XM-18, which I'm completely happy with. I really don't feel the need for another knife right now since the Hinderer is a perfect EDC for me. I'll probably end up buying a Jurassic or Skinny at some point, but it'll be a long time before the honeymoon is over with this one. I'll probably customize it with a new scale and hardware once the micarta and Ti scales I want get back in stock.
Other than a few more Benchmades or Three Rivers knives, I don't plan on buying a lot.
