Scales for my 24.....FINALLY!

I have had a d2 - 24 for a couple years but never got much use.

Now that I picked up the scales kit from a brick and mortar its a different knife!
Seems really comfortable now, sits in the palm swell nicely for a short handle.

Can already see this being used a lot this year with my machaxe
The more I use the 4 the more I like it

Now I NEED a 17 to round out my tweeners
 
Glad to hear its gonna get some love! I picked up mine on a whim and it hasn't left my pocket since. Well, the 14. It was my first scale mod and I absolutely love that little piece of steel. Just like the 4, you'll love it the more you use it.
Now make you some liners. It's a fun and really easy little project. Not only does it look cool, you'll be really surprised at how the extra girth feels. I recently added these rust colored liners made from plumbing gasket material I picked up for free.
 
Yeah the scales defs add a whole new feel to it Brad. You can use the knife for longer too without it getting uncomfortable..

Pick that 17 up for sure man. It doesn't get as much love as its brother the 16 but I personally find my 17 to be excellent. Really cool little knife..
 
Love my 24 as well, although I don't get much chance to use it these days.

Mine gets used on a regular basis. Don't have to worry about cleanup as much when I'm travelling....to the Land of the Lost....

Gotta say, I would never have requested it because I would never have been able to fulfill it and never thought anyone else could. But I'm glad you went ahead and posted it. Pretty cool.
