Pun intended.
It hit the 70 degree mark here for the first time this year today, and I decided to do a little fishing this afternoon. Caught 7 bass in total, threw the three little guys back. The other three looked pretty big until i reeled that last guy in. I'm guessing he was about 15"-16" long give or take. No record setter, but a decent fish nonetheless.

Stole TB's soldering iron handle mod idea, hope he doesn't mind. :p Squirted some Rustoleum Camouflage OD green on them just to see what it'd look like. I'm not 100% happy with how they look, but they feel great in hand. It'll do until I buy some micarta.

No action shots, things got a little messy after that first swing, so I didn't want to gunk-up my phone. BK9 did most of the dirty work, finished them up with my old U.S. made Schrade fillet knife.

I didn't bother weighing it, just roughly estimated. Does that seem way off for the size? I'm no expert by any means :P
Took it out to refrain from looking like a dumbass ;)

Looks like a good haul to me

I really dig the scales...I am at an impasse as to whether or not I should stipple and color my scales for my BK2.

*sigh* What a dilemma!

A 7 lb. bass will be in the 22" to 23" range most of the time. It'll have substantial girth and a mouth you can put your fist in.
