Can the green micarta scales of Tactical LCC be polished like G10? I haven't held one and am not sure if the green linen micarta is the same thing as G10. I've heard some people say that the green linen micarta used absorps oil and so I'm unsure if it can be brought to a high polish. The green scales would look great this way, if anyone has done it and has a picture they could post, that would be nice.

I've never polished green linen micarta but it should be fairly easy(It should polish the same as other micarta)

give it a coat of tong oil(you can use linseed oil but it will change the color)(put it on thick and let the scales soak it up.keep it wet for about 15 min. then wipe off the extra.)do this once a dayfor 2 or 3 days.(danish tong oil finish will work but is thinned, use it the same way but for 6 or 7 days)let them dry a couple days more. buff

DANGER--CAREFULLY DISPOSE OF ALL OIL RAGS !!!!!!!!

I dropped one outside the shop thinking to take care of it later,
45 min later I had a fire.

BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!

Yes, linen micarta can be brought to a high polish. Try just sanding up to a 600 grit or higher. If that's not polished enough, try buffing it. Maybe someone else can recommend a buffing compound.
