Scalpel Blade Handles: Do these exist?

Hey all
First time poster, new to this world of yours
I wasn't sure where to post this, so here's my best guess.

I'm awaiting my first proper knife, a Yojimbo 2 to arrive in the mail and the adventure of selecting it from the sea of sharps got me to thinking.
I've seen a handful of holders for disposable razor blades which make them infinitly more usable. Is there an equivalent for scalpel or hobby knife blades?
The standard hobby knife and scalpel handles have rather wretched ergonomics and aren't anything to look at. I use these things a fair amount and peeking into a world of well crafted and balanced handles has me looking at them differently.

Anyone know if such a thing exists or where I could find them?
If not, any thoughts of a maker that could custom one for me?

I believe Lee Valley Tools founder Leonard Lee developed an ergonomic scalpel. There are lots of excellent wood carving sets that use replaceable blades, as well.

Ah...wood carving tools to. Hadn't thought of that.
That gives me a lot more to explore, thank you.

What I'm really looking for is something pretty. A piece I could proudly give as a gift and put on display that would also be a top-rate tool

I believe at least two different companies have some version of a scalpel blade holding handle, IIRC one folded and locked like a regular pocket knife and one was a fixed blade style. Both were more a hunting knife, caper/detail small game ect. Also I remember high end art supply stores carrying ergonomically designed craft knife blade holders, pretty expensive compared to the standard $4 model.
Edit Google Havalon.

If you want a pretty scalpel, go search the Knife Maker's Market subforum for "damascus scalpel." I don't remember his name, but his work is very nice and I have read positive things about his blades. It will cost you about as much as your Yojimbo, but I think it's worth it--if I ever get enough in the knife budget without frittering it away I intend to pick one up.

Check out the Havalon Piranta, it is EXACTLY what you are looking for.

It’s a folder, with replaceable scalpel blades.

Havalom also makes a bigger version of that, it’s called the Baracuta.

Both are exactly what you are looking for

Wonderful
Probably going to pick up a Piranta in a minute here
I imagine I'm going to need to get rather good at sharpening to get the damascus scalpel to cut like a disposable all the time.
Such a beauty though
Thank you both everso <3

Also look at one called excel for a handle,to use hobby type blades.A step up are the Warren type wooden handles, they use a brass collet style of chuck to hold blade in them

Andre Perret in Switzerland did some nice scalpel handles.

Phillip Patton. I have one and it's useful. Highly recommended.

If you're just looking for utilitarian handles, then Sklar makes a pretty wide assortment. We use the plastic "Lab Type" at work in our casting areas for cutting insulation, etc.

I'm looking for both form and function, but definitely something that looks like a work of art

That is bloody perfect!
I looked up the name but haven't turned anything up
