Looks like ol' Cunne Shote is rocking a BK5, circa 1762.

Good design is timeless. The materials may change, but effective physics and geometry to accomplish simple tasks don't.

Where at in sw Virginia gitridone? My family has a farm in Castlewood and if you ever get gas or beer at a Double Kwik market chances are I was the electrician that wired it.Welcome to the forum.

Hey,

I'm in Floyd, about 45 min. south of Blacksburg, been here 2 years...but use to live out in east TN, Flag Pond, south of Johnson City, north of Asheville, NC.

I have a nice english trade knife repro by Jeff White. It's easy to see the Magnum Camp and BK15 are modern versions of the old "roach belly" knives used in the old days.

I've got the BK2, and 14 and was trying to figure out my next purchase, and honestly I think it's going to be the BK 5 mainly based historical lineage and it being used by the traders and such. If it worked for them then I guess it'll be good for me. Doesn't seem like the 5 get's as much love on the forum as the others, am I wrong?

Classic design, and a lot more utilitarian than I thought at first glance.
