So I just recently bought a Saber grind ZDP 189 Endura off of Shishiga with every intention of turning it into a scandi.
I also bought an XXcoarse DMT diamond stone to make this 100x easier.

Here it is pretty much untouched besides the ghetto wave

And this is what it looked like after the xxcoarse

That took about an hour. Per side. ZDP is hard -.-''
Also, I didn't really have a coarse stone so I had to jump straight to an 800 Suehiro waterstone
so it took WWAAAYY longer than it needed to. This is after the 800.

Muuch better. That was another 30 min per side.
I then moved on to 1000 grit sandpaper because my friend still has my 1200 stone.

Finally, a bit of Mothers Mag & Aluminum and a lot of stropping.

You'll have to excuse the bad photos, this was on my phone.
Well that's all, hope you enjoyed it! Oh and if you're wondering, it's very sharp.
I wonder how much less time it would take for the vg-10 version? Or a Delica...

This knife looks crazy awesome! I can't believe that about two weeks ago this was plain boring stock Endura I shipped to you. Great job!

that's really good looking. I like the Scandinavian grind myself, and I'll have to grind one of my knives like that.
