I'm a big fan of scandi grind and Swedish knives in general (Finland, Norway and Iceland included!)
I was wondering if any of you could recommend a folder or fixed blade. (Besides mora and svord!)

Thanks!

1) Finland, Norway, and Iceland aren't part of Sweden.
2) Scandinavia is Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. No Iceland or Finland.
3) Svords are from New Zealand.

That said there are TONS of other makers of Scandies than Mora. Start with Helle.

Fiddleback forge has some really beautiful Scandi grind knives, though they're fairly expensive.

Jarvenpaa is also very nice. Own a stacked birch bark Aito Puuko, myself. Great looking Finnish knife. Scandi grind, but not Scandinavian.

You might want to check out the Enzo Birk folder. They can be had with either scandi or FFG.

Helle and Brusletto might also interest you. They have mostly fixed blades, but I believe that Helle have a couple of folders.

The J. Martinni puukus and leukus are hard to beat. I own a couple of their knives including a leuku I've carried in the wild for a long time. The Finns found the right designs for bush a long time ago.
