Scandi Grind Repair

So I have a knife to sharpen. It's a Helle Eggen that was taken to a Wick edge at 15deg and had a bit of material removed from the tip and seriously changed bevel wise.

Would it be better to start repairing the knife by working the original bevel or grind the meeting of original and wicked edge (the angle change) till the two faces meet? And what about restoring the proper tip gemoetry? I have a good idea about what I want to do, but also want to converse with the other pros out here to see if I'm on track.

Is there a picture of the knife? Sometimes a visual helps on what happened and what you want to do with it.

Based on what I'm reading though, it may be better to grind out a new tip first with a standard obtuse angle edge(non scandi) until there is an edge at the tip, then simply put on a new scandi grind(this part should not touch the very edge until you're almost done with it).

I'll have a picture tomorrow, the knife is at the shop at the moment.
