Can an edgepro apex sharpener sharpen a scandi? I have been using free hand and its turning a little convex, I would like to have the crisps lines of a scandi back.

I haven't tried it, but I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. It might be tricky to get the curve towards the tip pretty though (thinking of the classic Mora blade shape).

i've tried on a cheap (but excellent google him) custom, it is possible but any variation in angle will look terrible, like it has been said the belly and tip are where the problems will happen. unless youcan place the knife just right for the belly to match as much as possible the arc of the the stone arm there will be a variation. or you'll have to regrind the whole bevel a hair steeper to completely replace the factory grind. from there find a way to place the knife at the exact same spot every time you sharpen it ....

i'd forget about it if i were you.
