I just finished up my first try at a scandi-ground bushcraft style knife. Thanks in advance for any comments or feedback!

Specs:

- 3/16" 1080 steel
- flats are hand sanded to 800x, etched, and polished to show a 'natural' hamon (no clay was applied before quench)
- AZ Desert Ironwood Burl scales
- 1/4" brass thong tubes (front and rear) and mosaic pin
- ~4 1/4" blade (tip to front of scales), just shy of 1" wide, and ~8 3/4" OAL

Awesome! The handle looks very comfortable.

On a bushcraft-type knife, I usually prefer to have the edge as close as possible to the front of the scales. It helps for long wood working sessions. YMMV.

Utilitarian and nice to look at as well. Good solid design and clean execution. Well done!

I have to agree however on this one, quite overlookable. This one is definitely out of the park!

Well ... it looks good enough for me to BUY.
has a wonderful look to it ... love the shape of the blade tip ... meat left in it ... be top notch work.
send it to me for offisheal field testing ...
good job.

Gorgeous. Simple design, clean and elegant. Can't think of anything else to say other than nicely done.

Thanks for all of the good feedback, guys; I appreciate it. If I make more, I will bring the edge bevel back closer to the handle scales.

I meant to update this post with these awesome photos RyanW sent me a while back and I totally forgot (sorry, and thanks again, Ryan!)
