Scandi knife kydex sheath help

I recently bought the material to start making kydex sheaths. I've made a couple, but I am struggling to get tight retention on traditional scandi knives that don't really have any good areas to grab to. I usually make a leather sheath for these knives that are wet formed around the knife, so it has a perfect fit. Does anyone have any suggestions/advice to make a kydex sheath for a knife similar to the one attached?

Thanks!

Good looking knife.
It's all natural materials, imho kydex won't match the knife

If I were to make one I'd have the top go past the palm swell, grabbing the knife

I do a fair bit of kydex, mostly holsters, and I couldn't tell you where to grab on that either.

I tend to agree with the comment above that you'd almost have to grab the palm swell if you wanted it to be held in with force.

Good luck :)

As mentioned, you'd need to go up to where the handle turns in if you want "snap" retention. If the knife is only gonna be carried upright though you should be able to get a decent friction fit through a tight form (or heat gun adjustment) and a high eyelet or two.
