What is the correct way to sharpen a Scandi grind?
Seems like to maintain the original angles, the stone has to cover the full face of the original bevel, otherwise cut a secondary bevel. The original bevel is flat, not convex.
Thanks.
Lay the bevel on the stone and sharpen until you reach the desired edge and finish. It's like having a built in angle guide. Be mindful of finger pressure though, where you place pressure is where the metal will be removed.
