Several years ago, I traded for a Skookum. Great knife, but I am not a fan of Scandi grinds, and the flat grind that Rod could have made for me was going to be too thin, great knife design otherwise. However, the sheath idea itself stayed with me. Scott Gossman made a sheath for his UNK, similar to the Skookums, and I asked him to make one for my UNK. I would like to know if any sheath makers out there could do some Skookum/Scandi style sheaths for neck carry for me. I need them for a small Hackman Tapio Wirkalla puukko, a Blind Horse small Brumby and a Gossman micro Kephart. The sheath for the small puukko is literally falling apart. I am debating whether or not I want to get a Scandi sheath or a pouch sheath for my large Hackman puukko. The Scandi sheath design works so well for neck carry that I prefer it over just hanging the supplied sheaths around my neck. I've already sent some emails out, and would appreciate any heads up. I have contacted JRE and Bob Schrap, in addition to a guy in southeastern MD.
