Hey folks, I'm looking for some opinions.
Here's the scenario. You have a scandi grind knife and it's the only knife you have. You have no axe or hatchet, just a knife. You are going into the interior Alaskan wilderness on a 3 month extended wilderness trip, so your knife will have to do lots of wood work, game dressing, fish fileting, and all-around utility cutting. It will have to stand up to some rough bushcraft use. The edges will roll, and the blade may chip. In a fanny pack, you can carry any sharpening accessories you want, but it has to fit in the fanny pack.
What would be the best way to maintain a zero scandi grind in these conditions? What's in YOUR fanny pack?
