Hey all!
I received a Scapper 6 early this week and have been putting it to work every day since. I am wondering if anyone can give me some help as to what I can sharpen it with. This (SR-77) has proven to be exceedingly tough. The angle of the blade seems to be excessive as well. I have had a Blast using it and can't believe the amount of Knife you get for $100.00. Don't get me wrong, this sucker is not dull at all. Heck I havn't even scratched the Blk. Crinkle finish yet and as I said I have been Chopping/Digging/and Spearing like a wild man. I am just looking for some pointers on touching up the edge when it becomes needed..... Thanks ~baba~

If you find you are NOT happy with the angle and sharpness of your blade and feel the need to re-profile it so that you can push cut a piece of paper with it, try the Chef Choice Edge Select 120.
Money well spent for the novice blade sharpener....right Andy??

Peace.

That money would be better spent towards an edge pro. Those electric kitchen sharpeners grind off tons of steel each time you use them.

You like the Edge Pro system better than the Gatco? I'm currently using a coarse/fine diamond stone that I got at REI (noted for their fine selection of sharpeners...), and I need something better. I've gotten to where I can get my Native III and RAT-7 to shave fairly well, but I know I could do better.

Right now I'm trying to decide between the Sharpmaker, the Gatco system, and now the Edge Pro. Any advice you have would be appreciated.

Oh yeah, I'll be getting a Manix soon, so in addition to sharpening D2 and VG-10, I'll be working on S30V. And, I just noticed the Scrapper 4, and that INFI blade for $140 sure looks inviting....
