Scary new purchase

A really fantastic knife!

As much as I know, the woodinlay is CALIFORNIA BUCKEYE BURL.

Very beautiful!

Congratulations to this suberb purchase!

regards

Great score Dave!!! That's a nice one. I was looking at that this morning. I liked the Redwood Burl one also.

Redwood burl had been my favorite for a while but I missed a couple of different times when by the time I decided they where gone.

A few months ago there where some pictures of the California Buckeye burl, and decided that actually was more dramatic and interesting to me.

So I told myself I'd keep an eye out, and saw this one yesterday. It took a day to negotiate finances with the better half.

It's kinda scary because I'm pretty excited about it, it has been a while since I've been so excited (and spent so much on a single knife).

I appreciate the support, it's nice to share in the appreciation of something.

California Buckeye burl, I've never heard of it but boy does it make a beautiful inlay. Thanks for the response Dave H and darkblue.

The Woodie I bought also has that Cal. buckeye wood on it.
HOWEVER, it looks much better that it did on the picture.
The color of the wood is much lighter, and has many more shades and colors than the picture showed.
I hope yours is like this, I was EXTREMELY surprised at how much more I liked the wood when I saw it in person.
Let me know what differences you see when you get yours.
thanks.
Walker

That's Beautiful. I love California Buckeye burl.

I also wanted to tell you all that you are mean! All this talk of nice knives at TrueNorthKnives. You should all be ashamed of yourselves!:D

Look what you made me buy this morning.

Jason

Whoa, slow down guys! You both bought 2 of my favorites from TNK.
Gotta save for something else now!:D

Congrats to both of you guys, those are sweeeet knives.
John...

Thanks, I probably should have payed an extra $5 bucks and I would have gotten it sooner.

Oh well, waiting is sweet too.

That Buckeye burl is awesome. I get at least one limited edition wood inlay each year. For 2003 I have a snakewood on order. I think in 2004 I'll get the Buckeye burl. :) ;) :p

Beautiful knife Dave! CBB is my favorite wood also.
I have a small CBB coming at the end of the year. Can't wait. :D
