I just got a Victorinox Alpineer. Now I want it around all the time. Food slicing, spreading, general cutting. Long plain blade wipes clean in a second. No gizmoes to catch anything. Light (under 2 oz) and a nearly 3 1/2" blade that takes an edge to match anything.
Now the dilemma: How can a guy be a KNIFE KNUT with only a 20 dollar knife? I have a reputation to live up to.

Never heard of it, so you prompted me to Google it -- looks like a nice knife! On any given day, I'm carrying a knife with a steet price of $400-$500 . . . but usually have a Vic on me as well. A Vic's one of the best knives on the planet.
