* WIND CHILL... AS LOW AS 33 BELOW TUESDAY MORNING DUE TO TEMPERATURES 8 BELOW ZERO... AND WINDS WEST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH.

This is an excerpt from the local weather report here in the North Carolina mountains. I've never even heard of it being this cold here. It's been cold...but this is just crazy cold. Hard to know what to think of this. Praying the heat stays on and we don't loose power. Because it's not going to be a good thing if we do. Just some scary cold weather moving through...

Yea, wow. That's cold for your area. People who live in WI are accustomed to cold spells like this. It's -15F right now, with a 15mph wind. It's the wind chill that sucks.

Watch your pipes and do whatever it takes to make sure they don't freeze. If people in your area aren't used to this, a lot of pipes will freeze and burst. Not a big deal until too many pipes burst and you have a labor supply shortage. Don't be one of those people...

It was -25F here last night in the twin cities, norther Minnesota is probably really cold.

We hit a wind chill factor of -45 F in some areas. Average temp not counting wind chill was -17 F. It was cold indoors even with the heat running. Wouldn't get over 55 with it going full blast.
