Schrade seems (or seemed) to be making some efforts to improve but 3cr13 is bad even by my low standards. It's the same awesome stuff that sent Gerber into a death spiral. For the same money you can get options like a USA made Council Tool Hudson Bay - far more product and quality. I think the Cold Steel Hawks are about the same money as well and they offer a Nam era style hawk which looks a lot like that one. Condor has options in that price range, the list goes on and on.
