I do see one flaw with this knife, its not in my collection! what a beauty. G.M

The 856 was listed in the catalogs until 1961.
I can find the 856 listed as far back as 1947, (see pic from 1947 catalog).
Apparently it was a Schrade Cut Co. #S8563 3/4 that was carried over into the Schrade Walden line as 856.
