Schatt and Morgan English Jack?

I have one from their File & Wire series III made in 2005. ATS-34 premium stainless steel and goldenroot wormgroove bone.

I think it is one of the nicest factory knives I've ever had, beautifully made with top materials and very stylish. I had it about two years and decided to have the spear blade modified into a Wharncliffe by master smith Don Hanson, III of Sunfish Forge. It now resides in my kitchen organizer and gets used nearly every day. Highly recommended in either form.

I was looking at the long sheepsfoot main w/h pen. Not file and wire just 420HC. I love that regrind of the ATS-34 blade!

Mine is the File & Wire version in ATS-34 like Black Mamba's. The fit and finish is as near to perfect as I've seen, at least on par with the best from Canal Street and Great Eastern.

I like the look of that reground jack so much that I passed on the sheepsfoot main blade one. I wonder if I will actually be able to find a F&W English Jack? Oh well, I like the look and feel of the wormgroove bone. I think I made the right choice to pass on the non F&W jack.

Thanks to all for the nice words! Don did a superb job on the regrind, and man did that come back sharp. Tr, the Washington bolster is perfect on this one, I love it. The bone on those series III F&Ws is about as good as it gets, and Queen/S&M's QC was first rate then as well. I highly recommend any knife from that series.

I have a Heavy Jack from series II and a Granddaddy barlow from series IV. Both came to me needing extensive work done to the edges to make them serviceable BUT I got the knives for a song as a result! It would be worth the wait for an other F&W.

I have these two which I purchased a few years ago. Both very nicely made and really good value for money.
