Any owners of a S & M #43 half whittler, how would you rate the pull strength of the main blade (the wharncliffe)? Nailbreaker, hard, medium, easy or what?
I'm looking for a serious whittling/carving folder and the main wharncliffe, plus the unusual curved coping small blade looks appealing. But.....I have bought quite a few "whittlers" and they have ended up as EDCs. I don't care for hard pull EDCs because I use them in my workshop where they get opened dozens of times a day. Strong pull is OK in knife used for carving because its safer, and when opened, used for a couple of hours before closing.
Also, a brief review of your thoughts on this knife would be appreciated.
Thanks much, the Dude
