I received the S&M Sway Belly Trapper in caramel bone yesterday. Once I opened the box and examined my new knife I realized all the positive reviews given here are accurate. The fit and finish on the Schatt is excellent. The blades are razor sharp out of the box and I couldnt find anything to complain about.
I thought it would be easy to pick a superior knife between this one and the amber bone Canal St. Gunstock Ive had since December, but reexamining the CS knife made me realize theres no clear-cut winner. Theyre both very nice and IMO it will come down to personal preference.
The S&M in this pattern is a larger / heavier knife, it does look and feel like it's handmade. I can see why a few of you only collect S&M's.
Ive included a few pictures for comparison.
