Do Schatt & Morgan (Queen) still make knives in D2? If so, which series should I be looking at?

I'm specifically looking for something smallish with a Wharncliffe blade, ala a Case Mini Copperhead. I'm actually leaning toward one of those, but would like to find a higher quality alternative, if possible. I've seen the S&M Carpenter's Whittler, which has the right blade shape (albeit is a bit larger), but I can't find one in D2, just 420HC. If I'm going to pay the extra money I'd prefer to have better steel.

Thanks in advance,

You can get D-2 knives and ATS-34 knives from Queen. Try
www.queencutlery.com for a catalog to look at, and try
www.cumberlandknifeworks.com for a good dealer to work with. Everyone reports good dealing with Bill Horn at Cumberland. I have nothing to do with either except as a customer!

Yes, I'd found Queen's page on my own, but they only have a few current models there, and only the Fire & Wire series seem to be ATS-34. I was hoping for something a little more comprehensive. I was hoping for some model series names to search on.

As far as I know, Queen has never made any Schatt & Morgan knives in D2. So that leaves the Queen knives in carved stag bone or in the new birdseye maple. There is nothing with a wharncliffe in either line....also no really small patterns.....your best bets might be the #26 small stockman and the #48 whittler. I have both of these as edc's in the maple and I like them both.

The #48 Whittler is a great knife in D2. I have one with smooth black cherry delrin, and like it a lot. The pen and coping blades are not as dainty as on most 3 5/8" whittlers, and with the Queen PH D2 steel, they really hold their own. No Wharncliffe but it has everything else you want.
