I received this beautiful Schatt & Morgan Jack knife with Sheep foot and pen blades, in my mailbox today. The jigged bone is a beautiful root beer color and I love the fancy threaded and fluted bolsters. Dan (Parke1) sent me the knife with a very kindly worded letter and I very much appreciate the knife and gesture. I had previously noticed that Dan is very generous to others and always conducts himself as a gentleman on the forums. Thank you my friend. :thumbup::)

:D

Good stuff. Dan definitely is the man. I've been eyeing one similar to that recently. Congrats Primble.

+5K :thumbup::thumbup:

Primble, is there a reason most of your recent photos have the rocky background instead of the one we've all come to know and love? Both backgrounds look fantastic; I'm just curious.

I'm glad you like it, Primble! :) Thanks for all you contribute here, and especially for the kind words.

As a side note, I can fully attest that the above knife never looked that good in person! :eek: The Primble photography wizard strikes again! :thumbup:

Just trying to give everyone something different, instead of the same old backgrounds. ;):)

:D

I hope not Charlie, those tributaries get expensive and there is already the new Catt tributary, the older 21 Charlows tributary, etc. :eek::D

Thank you again Dan - a very nice gesture sir. :thumbup::)

Thank you for the nice comments from everyone. :thumbup::)

It's a Big One - knife & gesture! You'll need a hefty magnet to mount this one:D

I like the Wormgroove Bone on that series and it sports the Washington Bolster. Very nice all round.

Thanks, Will

Love that English jack!:cool:
Great photo Primble, mine never looked that good. :confused:
Even GREATER gesture Dan!! :thumbup:

Dave

Maybe you guys are looking at the Jack, English Jack, with Washington bolsters (why not a Washington Jack then :confused::D) in poor light. Maybe because of the bare head??

I think the one I received looks fantastic in good light. :confused::confused::eek::D

Will - those NEO magnets are STRONG - but - I bet this knife would wear a pocket out in short order. :D

Does anyone know the type steel used in this knife - I keep forgetting to ask? :confused::)

The Keystone series, except for the series IX (1999) in antique green wormgroove bone, used 420HC stainless, as this one does. The consensus is that it is run slightly harder than Case's Tru-sharp.

Thank you Jeff. :thumbup::)

I love the Keystone shield, it's a beautiful knife, congratulations. Dan's good people. :thumbup:
