Hello,
I am new, so bare with my ignorance. :) I was thinking of buying a small Case Texas toothpick, but after reading all the negative post about Case not being a user knife, I started to look at other brands.
Where I got confused was it seems that Schatt & Morgan is made by Queen, so what makes them more expensive then a Queen ? I would like to buy a Queen in D2, but it doesnt look like they make a small Texas toothpick ? Can some please explain to me what make a S&M more expensive and do they make a small toothpick ?

Thanks,
Ram

As a rule the Schatt & Morgan versions display a higher degree of fit and finish as well as a smother action, but for a user the Queen D2 is tough to beat in a Multiblade unless you are partial to older knives with a high-carbon steel.

Personaly, I like the S&M knives for the display case and Oueen Cutlery to carry. New models of course anything pre-1970, with a few exceptions, gets wiped down oiled up and put in the case.;)

If you are looking for the 3" (closed) model, I think Case is the only company currently making a toothpick that small (#610096). If you can handle one, I think you can find a nice one without too much trouble. I have found several that have good fit and finish. They are not a hard use knife in that size. More suitable as a letter opener, thread cutter, gentleman's knife. Lowe's Home Supply stores stocks them, if you happen to have one in your vicinity. Otherwise, 1SKS, SMKW, or New Graham, usually have a good selection, and return, if you aren't satisfied, is not a problem.
