Hello all! Im not much of a poster around here, but my research has come up short this time.
I picked up a rusty broad hatchet yesterday for a dollar. Along with a iron ladle and a big vertical peen forging hammer.
The hatchet has a nice, clear, deep impression.
D.W. Schellenger
Sag Harbor
Cast Steel
Warranted
Any intel on this manufacturer would be greatly appreciated.
I know I know....we are a visual bunch......pictures coming soon.

Thanks Steve!
I knew you would be the first one in on this.
Does anyone have a axe /hatchet etc made by this blacksmith?
It seems Sag Harbor was a big whaling port around this time. Mabey this broad hatchet was used in boat making?
