After a 45 day wait on back order, my Schempp Rock finally arrived and it was well worth the wait. This knife has me rethinking all of my other fixed blades. This one blade will cover almost everything my numerous other fixed blades will, and probably do it better. I wasn't familiar with Blade Sports until a few days ago but the Rock has definitely opened a new chapter in knife ownership for me. Initially I was mainly impressed with the looks of the Rock and didn't take into consideration just how functional this knife is. I could on and on about how great this knife is but there are many reviews already available. In short, Ed Schempp knows exactly what he is doing when it comes to designing knives.

Sorry about the lousy pics but these were taken with a potato. :)

Hi Bushido,

Thanx much for the review and pics. Appreciate! Ed has a special understanding when it comes to performance. I have the proto of this model. We did a few runs in H1 and then I decided that this mode lin VG-10 would also be an excellent all around cutting tool. Certainly "Bug Out" bag material.

Hi Sal, you are very fortunate to have Ed in your arsenal. I mean, the man just get's it. Everything about the Rock is well thought out and like I said, very functional. A person really needs to behold the Schempp Rock to appreciate what a great knife it is. The only problem is that now I have a drawer full of useless fixed blades lol. In fact I just looked over at them and scowled, picked up the Rock and smiled. :)

Bushido, Great review and knife.

BTW Your potato photography skills are excellent. :D

A sprint run in black/green G10 handle like the Lum Tanto would be an "instant buy" for me... just wishing out loud :)

Sweet! Nice photos! Too big to be my legal post-retirement EDC here in Texas, but OK as a sporting/camp knife, so it has my attention.
