I got the tiny one with a mirror finish, whichever model name that was. I love the design of this knife. The blade, the handle, and the false bolster area look wonderful.
2 things:
1. It's a little heavy. I like it the way it is, but it would be cool if there was an Aluminum or Titanium version available as well.
2, I like the design so much, I feel like sending it off to be a Chinese model doesn't do it justice. The pivot is not perfectly fit, and the lock spring was way too stiff.
I wish Buck would make a nice US version of the same design, with better steel and maybe aluminum or titanium handle. It really looks like it should be a top-of-the-line model, not a cheap one. It's the kind of simple design with a classy modern look that I wish Buck would bring out more for US knives. Not so old looking it deters young buyers, but it also doesn't have too much craziness going on that the rest of us are not always in the mood for. And yet it doesn't look too generic either. When you find such a perfect balance, it's a shame to throw it away on cheap manufacturing.
