I got the tiny one with a mirror finish, whichever model name that was. I love the design of this knife. The blade, the handle, and the false bolster area look wonderful.

2 things:

1. It's a little heavy. I like it the way it is, but it would be cool if there was an Aluminum or Titanium version available as well.

2, I like the design so much, I feel like sending it off to be a Chinese model doesn't do it justice. The pivot is not perfectly fit, and the lock spring was way too stiff.

I wish Buck would make a nice US version of the same design, with better steel and maybe aluminum or titanium handle. It really looks like it should be a top-of-the-line model, not a cheap one. It's the kind of simple design with a classy modern look that I wish Buck would bring out more for US knives. Not so old looking it deters young buyers, but it also doesn't have too much craziness going on that the rest of us are not always in the mood for. And yet it doesn't look too generic either. When you find such a perfect balance, it's a shame to throw it away on cheap manufacturing.

It is a classy design. I think the manufacturing quality is way above that of other brands of knives from China. While I tend to prefer to buy knives made in the USA, I find that Buck's Chinese offerings are pretty solid and do not disappoint like some other "brands." It must be a tough call to decide which models are produced in the USA and which go overseas. I'm glad I'm not in that driver's seat. I agree it would sure be nice to see more product produced here.

I've got the TiNi (or what have you) Nobleman for a dress knife. I think, hands down, this is the best foreign made knife I've handled. Everything fits really well and it's razor sharp. I'd DEFINATELY buy another if they decided to make a US made offering with some upgrade in materials.

That TiNi version the 327TT? Glad to hear you like it. I've got one on order that I can't wait to get.

From what I've heard, the 327TT is on back order and has been for some time. Anybody know why?

The 327 arrived today (alrge one with black coating). The pivot screw fits perfectly. The lock spring is still too stiff, but I can fix that when I get home.
