Hi All,
I was away from the traditional folders for a few years and now I see some TC folders pop up for sale. I did a google search and came up with Japanese kitchen knives but I am guessing this might be a different animal.
Can someone school me on these?

Check out the "What makes a good, traditional barlow?" thread. It's almost always on the first page of this subforum. But in short, they are: Tom's Choice (hence TC) Barlows made under the Tidioute Cutlery (also TC) brand by Great Eastern Cutlery on their #15 frame as a special factory order for Charlie Campagna.

Also, the 2014 Knife Rendezvous knife was a TC Barlow but was not ordered by Mr. Campagna, I don't believe.

"TC" stands for Tom's Choice, as in Tom Sawyer. It refers to a special run of Barlows made by Great Eastern Cutlery.

A few of my wood TC Barlows:

The TC Rendezvous knife was made though with permission from Charlie to use the "TC" - so in fact has an extremely strong link to Charlie.

If you are wanting advice on the TC's - stay far far away as soon as you get just a small taste- there is no going back and it will be forever a whirling spinning Vortex.....

Wow some beautiful knives for sure. I'm going to keep away from this forum before I go broke.
