I want one of these really bad. I orderd one from SMKW but I know its not an original one. The one I orderd is Made by Taylor and does not lock. It will be a good knife, I know but I wanted the lock type with the brass linerlock. Other than Ebay, is there anywere i can order one and not pay an arm and leg for it? Why doesnt the one made by Taylor, not have the brass liner lock?

I think you may get your best answers over in the Schrade Collectors Forum.

I doubt if any on line stores have any old stock left.
Perrty much everything sold out quick after Schrade closed the doors..
If you don't get in a hurry, you can still pick up decent buys on the bay.
You might also put an add in the wanted to buy section of the classifieds here.

Schrade went bankrupt and the company was dissolved in 2004. In my experience, finding one of the originals on eBay for a fair price (ie, anything close to the pre-2004 retail price) is going to be nearly impossible.

Good Luck,
-Bob

I found one at an antique shop that was reasonably priced (unlike most antique shop knives)

I think the USA ones go for about 20-40 bucks on EBAY??

I see them on the bay from time to time. They always bring a good price.

I found a 127uh on the bay for 35.00 a few months back. No box or papers but I haven't seen one that cheap on a buy it now since.

Just keep your eye out. They pop up now and then.

More like $50-$100, as I recall.

It's been a while since I was chasing OldTimers on eBay though, so maybe conditions have changed?

No Bob, they have gone up since the days I remember you chasing them, although nice users still can be had for a reasonable price sometimes. A few good ones still slip through everyone's radar. How the heck are things down in your neck of the woods these days?

Still hanging around BladeForums regularly, but not doing much down Schrade collecting lately.
