Can anyone tell me when the 127UH, 227UH, 250T and 1250T Schrades were made and what the street value is? These knives are going so high on ebay.
Thanks.
Tom

I suggest searching the forum for those model numbers. Here's what I found on the 25OT with a quick search:

Extracted from From Robert Clemente's book
The 25OT was produced from 1964-1993
From1964-1974 There was a lanyard hole.
"In 1974, the hole in the bolster for lanyard discontinued
In 1976, the hole in the bolster was reintroduced
In 1989, again, no hole in the bolster until the knife’s deletion from the line in 1993."

I'm sure you can find similar data on the other models as well.

As far as "street value," well in today's world that's the same thing as the current eBay prices. Since eBay is the only place where large numbers of Schrade items are sold on a daily basis. Doing a "completed items" search on eBay should present you with a range of values for each model number. Some will sell significantly higher than average, and some considerably less. Factors include whether or not the knife has a box, the quality of the sellers' photo, whether the knife is listed in the proper category, and the cycle of the moon.

Good Luck,
-Bob

I'll bet they are harder to find "on the street". They are too old to find in a store. I think they would have been found more in gun shops or sporting good stores than in hardware stores. At least in the midwest.

I've had a hard time on Ebay. I won't pay $80.00 to $100.00. I managed to luck out on a 127UH recently for under $40.00. I bet I've bid on 50 of them. The 123OT and 124UH are about the same. I'd love to get a 123OT.

I don't see a lanyard hole, BUT the stamp on the tang says USA. Is this Taylor-made (China) knife or American?

It looks a LOT like the Taylor in this photo from this site:

How can they keep the USA stamp if it's made overseas? Is this Schrade a charade?

The knife you’re looking at on eBay, is stamped "Schrade USA"!
I would say it was made in the United States of America by Schrade; before they closed down.
As for the price of anything, now a days;
I find what you pay for an item, is about "what it's worth to you"

Bob's "moon cycle" is also a big factor; anthing can happen on a full moon, and it dose quit often.

Like Thawk, I have seen them sell from $40 and some for $150. KG.

This is my Schrade 225. It's a "Son of a gun".
