Schrade 156ot.

The one I have is C/S based on the patina, but it is an older user.I think the the newer LTD versions were SS based on when they were made.Arnold

My understanding is that all of the old ones (including the scrimshaws) are carbon steel as well as the newer ones that have the cream/brown delrin handles. I think the other post is correct about the newer Ltd. knives being stainless. It is my understanding that this knife was made from 1979 to 1985. My research, though not definitive, has convinced me that a different grind pattern and slightly different rear blade profile was used through 1982 than was used in all subsequent knives including those produced from 1983 to 1985. Most of what I have seen on ebay is MIB knives with the newer grind. Users are really hard to come by and the older grind pattern is seen less often for sale except in the case of Scrimshaws.
