I just bought one of these, but haven't received it yet. It's a 3 blade folder with a clip blade, a serrated sheep's foot, and what appears in the photo to be some sort of punch. It comes in a wooden box carved with a picture of a duck in flight and the words "1998/1999 Federal Duck Stamp Edition."

Can any of you Schrade mavins give me some background of this knife?

Pretty good write up on the flyer.

Thawk: Thank you for your reproduction of the flyer. I hadn't seen it. My interest in this set was fueled almost as much by the brass stamp and the beautiful carved box as it was by knife. I'd never seen one with that particular assortment of blades. The really nicely done wooden handle scales, as well as the handle shield emblazoned with a duck in flight is so cool and really nicely done.

Thanks again for your input. It arrived today and I'm now even more pleased I bought it.

Your knife is alot 'sexier' than mine, but there are some special editions out there with the same blade configuration as yours. Not very darn many though, to my knowledge. Real nice knife! It's special.

H889 from a Heritage line-up that Schrade produced before 2000.
