Hi. My 78-year old dad just recently lost his pocket knife of 40+ years, and I'm trying to find, if not the exact knife then, a good replacement. I've looked on ebay and other websites and find only vintage knives that are similar, not the same. His is a Schrade 3-bladed pocket knife with a wooden handle. Much like the Schrade 708 that I've seen, but with 3 blades. My dad's was a brown, smooth wood. Not textured, not bakelite--but wood. It had a shield-like emblem on one side with no lettering on it. (Ive seen some that say Schrade on the emblem, but my dad's did not---he said it never did, either). It is also similar to the OldTimers that i've seen, but again, it has the shield emblem, not the OldTImers emblem. My dad bought it in the mid-1950s, 1960 at the latest.
ANy help? This was something he carried in his pocket every day since getting it, and I'd love to find another for him.
Thanks.
Kelli
