Schrade 30t back spring repair

Hello all, first time poster long time reader.

I was wondering if anyone would have advice or experience with repairing a 30t with a back spring issue?
As far as I can figure out the problem is tension in the spring.
Is there a relatively easy way to put tension back into a spring?

Any advice would be appreciated.
