I have just purchased x2 Schrade 340T old timer knifes. They are both marked USA340T and one looks a little newer than the other. The Deralin handles are the same. The main difference is that the older looking knife has a slightly thicker Sheepfoot blade! At the end of the blade it is almost twice as thick on the blunt side. If anyone knows about this please let me know.

Thicker looking down on the top of the blade, as in thickness of the steel? Or do you mean looking at the blade from the side, as in the width of the blade from the top ridge to the sharp edge?

Agree with Shawn, pictures would help. I have several we could compare to from 70's 80's and 90's. :)
