I was told to ask you guys about this knife, but I said, "No, I'll do the research first and then ask only if I get stuck." Well, that didn't take long, so here goes.
I bought it on . . . never mind. It is a Schrade+ U.S.A. 470T Ducks Unlimited and the serial number on the blade release is "PRESS". It came with the nylon belt pouch with the DU logo head on the front. I was lead to believe it is circa 1995, but couldn't confirm that from the Ducks Unlimited archives. Yes, I'm a member and have a thing about DU knives. There's not a mark on it except for on the left side of the tang from opening and closing it. Never been sharpened and obviously never used. I cleaned off the dried oil residue on the tang and re-lubricated it. Pictures would be nice, I know, but I've got to learn to use Microsoft Photo Editor first, so please don't hold your breath. What is the significance of "Schrade+" and can it be dated? What does the Schrade community think about this knife's quality, etc? It fits my hand (no $20 bills required) and is well balances so I would like to use it unless there is significant collector value. The only thing I don't like about it, from a user's perspective, is that the last 1 1/4" of the blade is serrated. What do ya'll think?
