Hello everyone, purchased a real nice schrade 507sc with cougar print. I payed $43.80 for it. It has paperwork and sheath but no box . How did I do ? The knife is unused and pleasing to the eye not to mention a well built knife. My question is when was it produced the paperwork has the date 1991 on it. Does this reflect when it was made? If not how can I date it? It has 4 pins unlike my other LB7s that have 3. Any info appreciated. Look forward to reply. Thanks 253barlow, Mike. P.S. hope this is right spot in forum for question

I apologize for incorrect post. I will no longer be posting on blade forums. I again appologize for infraction. Mike. Was not intentional

Mike, if you're still reading this, in the Scrimshaw of the Great Outdoors series, the cougar 507's were made both in 1988 and 1995, not 1991 (that was the elk). the 1988 had a standing cougar in a full side profile, don't recall offhand what the 1991 looked like. The delrin handled LB's (507's) had four pins versus the three pins on most of the wood handled ones. The only exception is four pins on the very earliest wood handled models.
