Schrade 580SC

Can't say I've seen many of these Schrade Texas Jack knives, same length/size as an 8 series. All the Scrimshaw pages on Larry's site do not show any and nothing around the search page here either, so I don't think they were made for a regular release, more likely an SFO, I have seen one which was made for an Ellenville Wawarsing commemorative issue, maybe the plain ones were overuns. Who knows!

The only other time that this pattern/type was released was back in the Schrade Cut Co days as a 2813 3/4

Anyone know more out there?

Here's an Imperial DE 352 in the same pattern with some style on the blades.

Thanks for posting the pics thawk! another fine DE knife, Imperial were still using the swedge where Schrade had almost dropped it all together at that point.

The DE blades are very nice, but each is identical, not like those hand cut swedges on the Schrade Waldens.

I got the Ellenville Wawarsing commemorative you mentioned. Really nice knife. Had my eye on that one of yours, too, you wanted it more than me, apparently.

Dave, As I had not seen that many of this style it was definately a have to have knife. I must admit it would look better with a scrim on the handles though! Sorry for pipping you at the post though.

Not a problem at all, I'm sure I've done it to you as well. I wish we could still see who we are bidding against though. I know there have been knives show up here that I ran a bid up on trying to get, when I probably wouldn't have had I known who I was bidding against.

Thanks! My pics are gradually getting better, although I gotta admit my girlfriend took this one for me. I may have been closing my upload program before it was complete. But by the same token I'm using a new memory card, so it may have been that as well. I still have a couple go bad on me with each upload, but only one or two compared to about 30% before.
