Hi there. Schrade is now gone, of course, but their knives are still on sale here and there etc so I was just wondering how the Schrade 60 and 70 T's stacked up against the venerable Buck 110 (or even against each other)?
Thanks, Rod.

I have owned a Buck 112 and a Schrade LB7, I liked the Buck better because it was an old one in 440C steel, my old LB7 is 440A and I really like it too but there are nostalgic reasons for that. Newer Bucks and Schrades are both 420HC steel.

I feel that the present ones are very similar, you may choose depending on which handle material you prefer or on the bolster setup, or if you can hand pick one take the one that feels better.

I'm a fan of Schrade and I would pick one up just because it is Schrade, but remember that the design is originally Buck and notice that the 110 can be had with finger grooves or custom made by Buck with fancy steel and handles, also there are special runs such as the one for Cabelas in S30V.
