schrade 708Y serpintine knife

[/IMG]are these knives rare and what year were they made thanks for info
 
The 708Y, is a Serpentine Jack; Maize (yellow) plastic handle; clip & pen blades; long pull, brass liners; N/S bolsters & shield, 1957 to 1967, so in ran for about a 10 year span. Fairly uncommon.

Here is a black one, they made it from 1970 to 1988. Same pattern. The black ones are more commonly seen. There is also an 808Y (1957 - 1979), a mini stockman with three blades. It too is more common than the two blade version you are showing.

I notice Lynn, yours has that older celluloid handle material, with a lemon drop "see through" quality. That plastic is very pretty, but prone to shrinkage. I have a soft spot for these "Little Schrades".
