Newbie here and hoping you folks can help me out. I was given my grandfather's everyday knife that I have determined to be a 825RB "Razor Blade Stainless" Premium Rancher's knife. However, the blade appears to be an Uncle Henry 897UH that was embossed with the Premium Ranchers text and little razor blade. Any idea when Schrade built this cobbled together knife?

I saw one like that on Ebay. It looked to me like about a 1970 age knife. If it has SCHRADE WALDEN on the stamp is is pre 1973, and Uncle Henry 897 started in 1967. Those two knives used exactly the same blade. Does yours have an Uncle Henry engraved on the shield?

I found the expired auction, which seems to match the description of Okiesmoke's knife.

Note the one in the auction did not have Uncle Henry engraved on the shield. Wondered if this one was a lunch box knife or made this way and sold:confused: The handles appear to be Schrade Walden imo (and the tang stamp verifies that, duh sorry... senior moment). Serial number indicates a complete Uncle Henry frame. Do not believe it has an 825 on the ricasso. That serial number... good chance someone could assign an approximate date. It is 04737 I think so its early. I got 2nd and 3rd place on this one. Can't copy the pictures because of Auctiva. :grumpy:
